Table Tennis Wellington have recently completed an internal revue of TT in the Wellington region and have designated ‘Grass Roots’ table tennis development as the key focus from September 2009 through 2010.
The current coaching program and schools program are below:

Elite Coaching (Thursdays 19.45-22.00 & Saturdays 13.00-16.30)
Concentrated intensive group coaching for selected Table Tennis Wellington younger players and high level senior players, with the aim of representing Wellington, and New Zealand, in 2009 and beyond.

Junior Development Squads (Thursdays 18.00 – 19.30 & Saturdays 13.00-16.30)
Two squads training twice weekly, comprising improving affiliated players.  Our goal is to raise their standard further, enabling them to represent Wellington in future seasons.  Elite players will be called on to assist on occasions and will be used as role models and training partners.
.
Club Coaching
TTW coaches visit affiliated clubs (including Empire, Kapiti, Karori, Moonshine, Onslow, Tawa, Titan, University and Waterloo) to establish and coach, coaches and club members.  Each visit is approximately 2 hours, including senior and junior sections. Please contact your local club for the dates of these club visits and more information.

Individual Coaching
One with one individual and personalised coaching for players is available for both elite level and club players. This method is already used widely in other parts of the country. We believe it greatly benefits our leading age group players.
